Return to the Art of Care
Where clinical excellence meets unreasonable hospitality.
At Avoa Health, we have removed the barriers of the traditional medical system: no insurance mandates, no rushed appointments, and no volume quotas. We exist to restore order and peace of mind to families facing complex medical journeys.
To do this, we are building a team of Private Health Advisors: clinical experts who serve as the Healthcare Chief of Staff for their clients. This is a sanctuary for professionals who want to focus entirely on the client, delivering the level of care and attention they always wished they could provide.
Current Opportunities
Private Health Advisor (Concierge Patient Advocate)
Overview
At Avoa Health, we believe a serious health diagnosis should not become an overwhelming burden. The Private Health Advisor is a sophisticated, high-touch role designed for a professional who embodies the rare intersection of clinical excellence, strategic thinking, and world-class hospitality.
You will serve as the single, trusted point of contact for families navigating complex medical conditions—acting as their advocate, strategic Healthcare Chief of Staff, and anticipatory problem-solver. This is not traditional case management; it is a partnership where you transform fragmented healthcare journeys into seamless, dignified experiences marked by deep competence, measured discretion, and unwavering support.
The Avoa Health “One-Size-Fits-One” Philosophy
Our clients are accustomed to excellence in every area of their lives. They expect a service standard that mirrors the world’s finest hospitality establishments. You will deliver this through:
- Anticipatory Service: You will see around corners, identifying and fulfilling needs before the family expresses them.
- Unreasonable Hospitality: You will create moments of care that transform a sterile healthcare encounter into a positive, personalized experience.
- Hushpitality: You execute complex logistics with invisible precision. Families experience the result of your work without being burdened by the noise of the medical bureaucracy.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Care Coordination & “Chief of Staff” Logistics
- Act as Central Command: Serve as the primary liaison between the family and their team of specialists, ensuring every provider is aligned and the client’s agency is fiercely protected.
- Practice “Hushpitality”: Manage all medical scheduling, records transfer, and follow-up with invisible precision so the family remains focused on healing, not administration.
- Vet Elite Specialists: Evaluate top-tier physicians and institutions to ensure the optimal fit for the client.
Clinical Advocacy & Representation
- Professional Presence: Accompany clients to critical appointments, preparing the agenda in advance and delivering executive post-visit summaries that translate jargon into a clear path forward.
- Dismantle Roadblocks: Use your clinical expertise to manage insurance pre-authorizations and billing disputes, protecting the client from the friction of the healthcare system.
Anticipatory Lifestyle & Home Logistics
- Operational Scaffolding: For clients experiencing cognitive decline or transitions, implement discreet systems (bill-pay management, frequent check-ins) that preserve dignity while ensuring safety.
- Home Ecosystem Management: Source and manage private-duty nursing, home-care transitions, and environmental adaptations with a focus on aesthetic and functional excellence.
Service Recovery & Problem Ownership
- Own Every Issue: Own and immediately resolve client concerns. You never say “That’s not my job.”
- The LEARN Model: When system failures occur (insurance denials, physician delays), you Listen, Empathize, Apologize, React, and Notify with total strategic control.
The Ideal Candidate
- The WETCO Profile: We hire for Warmth, Empathy, Teamwork, Conscientiousness, and an Optimistic Explanatory Style.
- The Language of Luxury: Mastery of sophisticated, hospitality-driven communication. We avoid transactional phrases like “no problem” or “I’ll try,” opting instead for “It would be my pleasure” and “I will see to it immediately.”
- Clinical Expertise: 5+ years of healthcare experience, ideally in the advocacy, case management, oncology navigation, palliative care, or geriatric care space. LPN, RN, or MSW preferred, but not mandatory.
- Executive Versatility: The ability to pivot seamlessly from a technical discussion with a neurosurgeon to a compassionate, high-level briefing with a family office director.
Compensation
- Retainer-Based Commission: We operate on a high-value incentive model. You will receive a significant percentage of the monthly retainer for every family in your portfolio, paid as W-2 income.
- Aligned Incentives: Your earning potential is directly tied to the value you provide. As you build trust and maintain long-term relationships with clients, your income stabilizes and grows.
- Operational Support: As a member of the Avoa Health team, you are fully supported with liability insurance, technology, and administrative backing, allowing you to focus exclusively on client care.
Why Avoa Health?
- Return to the Art of Care. In a healthcare landscape defined by volume and speed, Avoa Health is your return to purpose. We have removed the barriers of insurance mandates and hospital bureaucracy, giving you the rarest luxury in modern medicine: time.
- Professional Autonomy: You manage your own client portfolio and your client book. You operate with the autonomy of a private practitioner within a high-performance team, supported by Avoa Health’s infrastructure and brand.
- Deep Impact: Instead of managing hundreds of cases, you will dedicate yourself to a select portfolio of families, allowing you to build meaningful relationships.
- Resources, Not Roadblocks: You will work in an environment where going above and beyond is not an exception. It is the standard, and it is fully resourced.
